Australian politician Lizzie Blandthorn says that people are upset with her over her nativity display, in which she used a black baby doll to represent Jesus Christ.
“They don’t understand… I’m Christian myself and I think it’s good,” Blandthorn told 7News, explaining that people who had a problem with the display had a naive perspective of the Christian religion.
“When we cut our skin we’ve got blood there… I think that’s more important. How he was, what he did for us.”
