Nigeria now holds the world record for biggest bottle tree broken on the 17th of December. The previous record holder was China that used a 1000 bottles to create their tree. Nigeria’s super tree is made of empty beer bottles and it is located along the Eko Atlantic stretch in Victoria Island, Lagos. Named the Star bottle tree after the creators star lager beer company, Nigerian Breweries Plc.
According to Nigerian Breweries Plc, the record breaking star bottle tree, was built to showcase the creativity, which abounds in the country
This feat along with many others has surely put Nigeria on the world map. he record-breaking tree is made with a total of 8,000 star beer bottles as against 3,000 bottles announced during the commencement of the project. It presently sits proudly at the Star Beer Village, Eko Atlantic City (venue of the much anticipated Lagos Countdown 2014) Victoria Island, Lagos.
