the verdict was farther if not the farthest. A swiss footballer,
Ricardo Ferreira has been handed a 50 year ban for kicking the ball at a
referee, spraying him with water and verbally abusing him at the end of
a game. That means he would play again on June 5, 2064 at the age of
78.
The Berne's Portugal Futebol Clube defender has been banned
severally for misbehaving in and off pitch. He was once banned for 45
matches for assaulting opposition players and officials.
Reacting to the verdict, Ricardo told Blick magazine that, "I am
known to the referees and the federation and I expected one or two
years. But 50? Football is my life.
