Top Ten Richest Countries In Africa

Africa is on of the largest continents in the world in terms of land mass, but not monetary wealth.
Most of the poor coutries of the world are in Africa.Having said that, not al African Countries, are poor.
This ranking of African Countries by wealth,is based on the gross GDP which give the value of all the final goods and services produced in the country in any give year.This is assessed based on the prevailing prices of the same products in the United States.





 No 10 Ghana has just joined the list of the then richest countries in the world.The backdrop to Ghana's success is good management,reduction of poverty levels.Resources are gold.bauxite,cocoa,timber and more recently crude oil


NO 9 Libya's GDP stands at $87.91 billion depending  on it's oil reserves and petroleum products
for most of it's revenue.The Country is rapidly diversifying into agriculture.






No 8 A non oil producing Country.It has GDP or $103.1 billion.The Country attracts a large number of foreign investors.




 No 7 Tunisia .The Country's economy is divers,market oriented.It is largely based on mining,manufacturing and Tourism.Tunisia's GDP stands at $104.4 billion


No 6 Angola's GDP stands at $126.2 Billion. The Country enjoys a vast reserve of oil and gas resources ,diamonds,hydroelectric power, and rich agricultural land.It is the second largest producer in Africa coming behind Nigeria.


 No 5 Morocco's GDP stands at $171 Billion .It is the worlds 3rd largest producer of phosphorus.Revenue also accrues from tourism and textiles.




 N0 4 Algeria has a GDP Of $274.5  Billion.The Government controls 95% of the economy
Crude oil contributes 60% of its revenue



NO 3 Nigeria  third richest country in Africa.Crude oil accounts for 85% of all foreign exchange and revenue generation before the discovery of crued oil,agricultcure contributed  90% of its revenue.
Globally Nigeria is one of the top 50 consumers of U.S goods.
 

No 2 Egypt enjoys a stable economy however its growth maybe attributed to lack of freedom coupled with recent political instability.Egypt has a well developed energy sector,based on coal,natural gas and hydro power

 No 1 -Richest in Africa and fastest developinging nation in the world.South Africa ,has a well structured and developed energy ,financial legal,transportation and communications structure.Its stock exchange is rated 18th in the world.Largest produces and consumer of energy in Africa.It is a popular tourist destination
